Our Mission and Philosophy

At Cura Mind & Wellness, our goal is to provide personalized, trauma-informed care that treats the whole person — not just the diagnosis. We create a supportive environment where every patient feels seen, heard, and respected.

Our approach emphasizes:

  • Dignity and compassion in every interaction.
  • Collaborative care, where patients actively participate in treatment decisions.
  • Culturally sensitive psychiatry, recognizing how culture and identity influence mental health.
  • Evidence-based methods to ensure treatment effectiveness and safety.

Whether you’re facing depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, or life transitions, Cura Mind & Wellness is here to guide you toward stability and wellness — with care rooted in empathy and clinical excellence.

Meet Vivian Emuobe, PMHNP-BC

Vivian Emuobe brings a rich blend of clinical expertise, compassion, and cultural awareness to every patient encounter. She earned her Master’s degree in Psychiatry and Mental Health from Walden University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Vivian is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and licensed to practice in Texas, Massachusetts, California, Oregon, and New York. Her training includes extensive inpatient and outpatient psychiatric experience in:

  • HRI Hospital (Brookline, MA) – Psychiatric NP in Partial Hospitalization (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs. Director of Women’s Programs (WPHP) and Ascend, supporting women of color in recovery and empowerment.
  • Starr Psychiatric Center (Brockton, MA) – Provider for diverse mental health populations in outpatient psychiatry.
  • Emerson Hospital, UMass Leominster, Lawrence General, and Brigham & Women’s Hospital – Registered Nurse roles in telemetry, emergency, and critical care, fostering a strong foundation in complex medical-psychiatric care.

Her background across academic hospitals and specialized programs gives her a unique, well-rounded perspective on both the emotional and physical dimensions of mental health.

Experience You Can Trust

Vivian has worked in high-acuity settings including Brigham & Women’s Hospital (Boston, MA), one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. Her experience spans:

  • Trauma-informed therapy and medication management
  • Women’s mental health and reproductive psychiatry
  • Crisis stabilization and recovery programs
  • Partial hospitalization (PHP) and intensive outpatient (IOP) leadership
  • Culturally responsive care for minority and immigrant populations

She has also spearheaded initiatives aimed at reducing stigma in minority communities, promoting mental health awareness, and expanding access to quality psychiatric services.
